Aquí tienes una lista de algunas palabras y frases relacionadas con el universo en inglés:
- Universe (universo): The whole of space and everything in it. Example: Scientists are trying to understand the origin and evolution of the universe.
- Galaxy (galaxia): A huge system of stars, dust and gas held together by gravity. Example: The Milky Way is the galaxy that contains our solar system.
- Star (estrella): A large ball of gas that produces light and heat by nuclear reactions. Example: The Sun is the nearest star to Earth.
- Planet (planeta): A large round object that orbits a star and does not produce its own light. Example: There are eight planets in our solar system: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
- Moon (luna): A natural satellite that orbits a planet and reflects its light. Example: The Earth has one moon, but some planets have more than one.
- Asteroid (asteroide): A small rocky object that orbits the Sun, usually between Mars and Jupiter. Example: Some asteroids are considered potential threats to Earth because they could collide with it.
- Comet (cometa): A small icy object that orbits the Sun and develops a tail when it gets close to it. Example: Halley’s comet is visible from Earth every 76 years.
- Meteor (meteoro): A small piece of rock or metal that burns up in the atmosphere as it falls towards Earth. Example: We saw a meteor shower last night.
- Space (espacio): The empty area beyond the Earth’s atmosphere where there is no air or gravity. Example: Astronauts explore space in special vehicles called spacecrafts.
- Alien (extraterrestre): A living being from another planet or galaxy. Example: Do you believe in aliens?
